About Matcha

Matcha is a finely ground vibrant green powder, made up of specially grown and processed green tea leaves. These tea leaves are shade grown for three to four weeks before the harvest, then the stems and veins of the leaves are removed.

Next, the tea is steamed and sorted, and finally stone ground to create the perfect matcha powder we can then drink.

Matcha is incredibly high in antioxidants, especially catechins.

Studies have shown Matcha contains up to 10 times more antioxidants and up to 5x as much L-theanine as regular green tea. This is for the most part due to the centuries old special shading techniques used by Japanese farmers.
